MCP server

Post and schedule from Claude, ChatGPT and Codex

Superbridger has an MCP server. Connect it to an AI app and plan, write, schedule and check your social media posts from the chat: one post goes to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X.

In short

  • Superbridger's MCP server is at https://superbridger.com/api/mcp.
  • It works with Claude (claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps, Claude Code) and with ChatGPT, Codex and other apps that support remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in.
  • From the chat you can see your brands, accounts, calendar and numbers; check, publish and schedule posts; move, cancel, retry and delete them; and add videos and images.
  • It posts to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok (as a draft in the TikTok inbox), LinkedIn and X.
  • You sign in with your Superbridger account, pick a team, and choose whether the app may post or only read. Disconnect it any time in Settings → Connected apps.
  • It's part of every plan, the free trial included. Posts made from a chat count toward the plan's posts and X credits, the same as posts made on the website.

What is the Superbridger MCP server?

It's how AI apps such as Claude and ChatGPT use Superbridger: they can read your posts and numbers and, if you allow it, publish and schedule posts for you.

MCP (the Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI apps use tools from other services. An app that supports it connects to an MCP server, and the AI can then call that server's tools while you chat.

Superbridger's MCP server gives an AI app the same posting tools you have on the website: your brands and social accounts, the calendar, the composer's checks, publishing and scheduling, and the numbers of your posts. The same rules apply: your plan's limits, each platform's checks, and the accounts you connected.

So you can stay in the chat: ask Claude to write three LinkedIn posts and schedule them, ask ChatGPT what's going out this week, or ask Codex to upload a video from your computer and post it everywhere. The website is only needed for what has to happen in a browser: signing up, connecting a social account (that's the platform's own login) and billing.

What can you ask it?

Anything you'd do in the composer, the calendar or Analytics, in your own words.

  • "Give me an overview of my brands and accounts."
  • "Write a LinkedIn post about our launch and schedule it for tomorrow at 8:00."
  • "Plan next week: three posts for Octane, Tuesday to Thursday at 9:00, each tailored to its platform."
  • "What's scheduled this week?"
  • "How did last week's reels do? Which one kept people watching longest?"
  • "Move Friday's post to Monday at 10:00."
  • "Why did my Instagram post fail? Try it again."
  • "Post launch.mp4 to Instagram and YouTube with this caption." (in Claude Code or Codex, which can upload files)
  • "Post the video at this Dropbox link to TikTok and Facebook."

The AI checks the post first and shows you what each platform will get. Apps ask you before anything is published, moved, cancelled or deleted.

How do you connect it?

Add https://superbridger.com/api/mcp as a connector (an MCP server) in your AI app, then sign in to Superbridger when it asks.

Claude

  1. Open claude.ai/customize/connectors (in the desktop app: Customize in the sidebar, then Connectors) and choose Add, then Add custom connector.
  2. Name it Superbridger, paste https://superbridger.com/api/mcp as the URL, and choose Continue.
  3. Keep the sign-in settings Claude detects (the OAuth client: Register automatically) and choose Add.
  4. Superbridger opens: sign in, pick the team, and choose Allow. In a chat, choose + in the message box, then Connectors, and switch Superbridger on.

On Free, Pro and Max you add it yourself (Free has room for one custom connector). On Team and Enterprise an owner adds it under Organization settings → Connectors; then you choose Connect under Customize → Connectors. It's in the Claude desktop and phone apps too, and in Claude Code when you're signed in with the same account.

Any other MCP app

  1. Add a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) with the address https://superbridger.com/api/mcp.
  2. When the app asks you to sign in, Superbridger opens: sign in, pick the team, and choose Allow.
  3. An app that only runs MCP servers on your computer connects through the open-source bridge npx -y mcp-remote https://superbridger.com/api/mcp, which does the sign-in (it needs Node.js).

You need a Superbridger account: sign up for the 7-day free trial, no card needed.

What can a connected app do, and how do you stop it?

It works in one team you pick, reads always, posts only if you allowed it, and stops the moment you disconnect it.

  • One team. If you're in several teams, Superbridger asks which one the app works in. To use another team, connect again and pick it.
  • Read only, or also post. The Allow screen has a tick box, "Also let it post, schedule, move, cancel and delete posts, and upload files", ticked by default. Unticked, the app can see brands, posts, the calendar and the numbers, and isn't even offered the tools that change things.
  • It acts as you. Posts it makes show on the post page as "from Claude by Mo" (with the app's and your name), and count toward the team's plan like any other post.
  • It lasts until you disconnect it. The app renews its access by itself. A connection that goes unused for 30 days asks you to sign in again. Signing out of the website doesn't end it.
  • Disconnect. Settings → Connected apps lists every app you connected, with its team, whether it can post, and when it was last used. Disconnect stops it on its next request. Leaving the team stops it too.

Which tools does it have?

Six that read and nine that post, change or upload; apps run the reading ones freely and ask before the others.

How does posting from a chat work?

The same as the composer: one text for every platform, with changes per platform, published now or at a time you choose.

  • One text, adjusted per platform. The main text goes everywhere; the AI can give a platform its own text, such as a shorter one for X (280 characters, or 25,000 with X Premium) or a title for YouTube.
  • Checked first. check_post runs the composer's checks, including a read-only call to each platform, and shows what each one will get. Nothing is posted.
  • Now or later. A post goes out right away, or at a time from 2 minutes to 180 days ahead; scheduled posts go out within a minute of their time.
  • Time zone. Times without a time zone are read in Amsterdam time (CET/CEST), the app's time zone. "Tomorrow at 9:00" is 9:00 in Amsterdam.
  • TikTok. Posts go to the TikTok app's inbox as a draft, to finish and publish there. Posting directly needs TikTok's own screen, which a chat can't show.
  • Limits. Posts count toward the plan's monthly posts, and posts to X use X credits (1, or 15 with a link). Read-only teams can't post. On top of that, at most 30 posts an hour come from one person's AI apps.

How do you add videos and images?

Upload a file from your computer (Claude Code, Codex), import it from a public link, attach it in ChatGPT, or reuse an earlier upload.

  • From your computer. In apps that can run commands, start_upload gives a ready-made upload command; the file goes straight to storage, then finish_upload checks it and returns its id.
  • From a link. import_media fetches a public https link: a Dropbox link ending in ?dl=1, a Google Drive file shared with anyone, or a file on a website. Links to private addresses are refused.
  • Attached in ChatGPT. A file you attach in ChatGPT can be handed to import_media directly.
  • An earlier upload. list_media lists the team's uploads that can still be posted.

Videos can be MP4 or MOV, images JPEG, PNG or GIF, up to 1 GB. Each file gets the composer's checks for every platform. Files are deleted from Superbridger's storage 7 days after they've been posted.

Instagram needs a video's index at the start of the file. If a video isn't saved that way, the upload says so and gives the command that fixes it without re-encoding: ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -c copy -movflags +faststart out.mp4.

Can it tell you how your posts did?

Yes: views, likes, comments and reach per post, plus watch time and new followers where the platform gives them, from Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X.

get_post and get_stats read the numbers Superbridger keeps for the posts it published, fetched again from the platform when they're more than 15 minutes old. Totals are Superbridger's sums of each platform's own numbers.

  • Instagram: views, likes, comments, shares, saves, reach, average watch time, and for posts new followers and profile visits.
  • Facebook: views, likes, comments, shares, average watch time and new followers of reels.
  • YouTube: views, likes and comments, and watch time and subscribers gained a day or two after posting.
  • X: views, likes, replies, reposts and bookmarks, plus link clicks and profile visits in a post's first 30 days. X charges for every read, so they're updated once a day in a post's first week and once more after four weeks. The account's followers are read once a day.
  • TikTok and LinkedIn: posts count, but there are no numbers yet.

Is it safe?

The app gets only what you allowed in the team you picked, never your passwords or social logins, and Superbridger never sees your chats.

  • Sign-in through Superbridger. The app never sees your password. It gets an access token that lasts an hour, is only valid for the MCP server, and is checked on every request: a disconnected app or a person who left the team is refused at once.
  • Your social accounts stay put. The app works through Superbridger and never receives the tokens of your Instagram, TikTok or other accounts.
  • No chat history. Superbridger receives only the requests the app makes, such as "list scheduled posts", never your conversation.
  • What the app does with what it reads is up to the app's provider (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) and your agreement with them.

Details are in the privacy policy.

Something isn't working

Most problems are a sign-in to renew or a permission to allow in the app.

  • "Needs authentication" (Claude Code): type /mcp, choose superbridger, and choose Authenticate.
  • "This connection was disconnected in Superbridger": the app was disconnected or you left the team. Connect it again.
  • "This connection can only read": posting was unticked when it was connected. Disconnect it in Settings → Connected apps and connect again with "Also let it post" ticked.
  • Tool calls are blocked (Claude Code in auto mode): approve them when asked, or allow the reading tools with /permissions: mcp__superbridger__get_overview, mcp__superbridger__list_posts, mcp__superbridger__get_post, mcp__superbridger__get_stats, mcp__superbridger__list_media and mcp__superbridger__check_post.
  • A social account's login has expired: get_overview says which one. Log in again on the website under Social accounts; posts to it fail until then.
  • "Not posted. Fix these first": the checks found something a platform would refuse, such as a video that's too long. The message says what, per platform.

Questions people ask

Does Superbridger have an MCP server?

Yes. Superbridger's MCP server is at https://superbridger.com/api/mcp. It lets AI apps such as Claude, ChatGPT and Codex read your posts and numbers and, if you allow it, publish and schedule posts to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X.

Can Claude post to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X?

Yes, through Superbridger. Connect Superbridger as a connector in Claude, and Claude can publish or schedule a post to the accounts you connected in Superbridger. TikTok posts arrive as a draft in the TikTok inbox, to finish there.

Can ChatGPT schedule social media posts?

With Superbridger connected: ChatGPT can check a post, schedule it for a time you name, move or cancel it, and show what's on the calendar. Superbridger in ChatGPT's app directory is coming soon; until then it can be added as a custom MCP server under Plugins. We've tried the ChatGPT setup ourselves, like Claude and Claude Code.

Does it work with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or VS Code?

Yes. It works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot in VS Code, Devin Desktop (formerly Windsurf), Gemini CLI, Zed and Cline, and with any other app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in: add https://superbridger.com/api/mcp as a server and sign in when asked. Apps that can run commands, like these, can also upload videos and images from your computer.

Is the MCP server free?

It's included in every Superbridger plan and in the free trial, at no extra cost. Posts made from an AI app count toward the plan's monthly posts and X credits, the same as posts made on the website.

Will the AI post without asking me?

AI apps ask before they run a tool that publishes, changes or deletes something: those tools are marked that way. The AI checks the post first and shows you what each platform will get. You can also connect an app that can only read.

Can I let an AI app read my posts without being able to post?

Yes. When you connect it, untick "Also let it post, schedule, move, cancel and delete posts, and upload files". It can then see your brands, posts, calendar and numbers, but can't change anything.

How do I upload a video from Claude or ChatGPT?

In Claude Code and Codex, ask it to upload a file from your computer. In Claude on the web, give it a public link (a Dropbox link ending in ?dl=1 or a Google Drive file shared with anyone). In ChatGPT, attach the file. MP4 or MOV videos and JPEG, PNG or GIF images, up to 1 GB.

Which time zone does it use?

Amsterdam time (CET/CEST). A time without a time zone, such as tomorrow at 9:00, is read as 9:00 in Amsterdam. Times with a time zone are taken as given.

Can it work with several brands or teams?

Several brands, yes: everything in the team you picked when you connected, every brand included. A connection works in one team; to use another team, connect again and pick that one.

How do I disconnect an AI app?

In Superbridger, open Settings → Connected apps and choose Disconnect. The app stops working on its next request.

Does Superbridger see my conversations with the AI?

No. Superbridger receives only the requests the app makes, such as listing scheduled posts or creating one. It never receives your chat history.

Do I need an account?

Yes, a Superbridger account. Sign up at https://superbridger.com/signup for the 7-day free trial, no card needed.

What is MCP?
