Post to social media from Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is Nous Research's open-source personal AI agent: it runs on your own computer or server, and you can talk to it from Telegram, WhatsApp, Discord and more. Connect Hermes Agent to Superbridger

You need a Superbridger account with your social accounts connected. Then:

  1. 1

Run hermes mcp add superbridger --url https://superbridger.com/api/mcp --auth oauth.

  2. 2

In a new terminal, run hermes mcp login superbridger. Your browser opens on Superbridger: sign in, pick the team, and choose Allow. (In the Hermes desktop app or dashboard, use the Authorize button instead.)

  3. 3

Run /reload-mcp, or start a new session.

# Or in ~/.hermes/config.yaml:
mcp_servers:
  superbridger:
    url: "https://superbridger.com/api/mcp"
    auth: oauth

Sign in once on the computer Hermes runs on; after that it works from every chat app you've connected with hermes gateway setup. If the sign-in ever ends, run hermes mcp login superbridger again.

Videos and images

It can upload videos and images straight from the computer it runs on: start_upload gives it a ready-made upload command, and finish_upload checks the file for every platform. MP4 or MOV, JPEG, PNG or GIF, up to 1 GB. It can also import a public link.

FAQ

Hermes Agent and Superbridger

Can I post to social media from Telegram or WhatsApp?

Yes, with Hermes Agent. Connect Hermes to Telegram or WhatsApp with its gateway and to Superbridger with its MCP server, then send it the post in the chat. It publishes or schedules it to the accounts you connected in Superbridger.

Does Hermes Agent cost anything?

Hermes Agent is free and open source; you bring your own AI model provider. Superbridger is included in every Superbridger plan, at no extra cost.

Can Hermes Agent post to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X?

Yes, through Superbridger. Connect Superbridger to Hermes Agent, and it can publish or schedule a post to the accounts you connected in Superbridger: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X. TikTok posts arrive as a draft in the TikTok inbox, to finish there.

Will Hermes Agent post without asking me?

Hermes Agent is made to act on its own, so it may use a tool without asking. To approve every post, tell it to show you the post before it publishes, or connect it read-only: untick posting on Superbridger's Allow screen. Either way, Superbridger checks every post for each platform first.

Is the MCP server free?

It's included in every Superbridger plan and in the free trial, at no extra cost. Posts made from an AI app count toward the plan's monthly posts and X credits, the same as posts made on the website.
