Coding agent
Post to social media from Codex
Codex is OpenAI's coding agent, in your terminal, in your editor and in the ChatGPT desktop app. It works with the files on your computer, so it can upload a folder of finished videos and schedule them across your platforms, each with its own caption.

Connect Codex to Superbridger
You need a Superbridger account with your social accounts connected. Then:
- 1
Run
codex mcp add superbridger --url https://superbridger.com/api/mcp. Codex finds Superbridger's sign-in and opens your browser. - 2
On Superbridger, sign in, pick the team, and choose Allow. (If no browser opened, run
codex mcp login superbridger.) - 3
In Codex, type
/mcpto see superbridger connected.
# Or in ~/.codex/config.toml, then run codex mcp login superbridger: [mcp_servers.superbridger] url = "https://superbridger.com/api/mcp"
The Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this setting. In the IDE extension and the desktop app: MCP servers → Add server → Streamable HTTP, then Authenticate.

The address to add
https://superbridger.com/api/mcpVideos and images
It can upload videos and images straight from your computer: start_upload gives it a ready-made upload command, and finish_upload checks the file for every platform. MP4 or MOV, JPEG, PNG or GIF, up to 1 GB. It can also import a public link. In Codex's default sandbox the upload needs network access, so approve the upload command when Codex asks.
What Codex can do in Superbridger
- See your brands, social accounts and calendar
- Check a post for each platform, then publish it or schedule it
- Move, cancel, retry or delete posts
- Add videos and images
- Read how your posts did, per post and per platform
You stay in charge
- Every post is checked against each platform's rules first, and you see what each one will get
- Your AI app asks before it publishes, moves, cancels or deletes anything
- Rather it only reads? Untick posting when you connect it
- It works in the one team you pick, with that team's brands
- Superbridger never sees your chats, only the requests the app makes
- Disconnect it any time in Settings → Connected apps
FAQ
Codex and Superbridger
Can Codex upload videos from my computer?
Yes. Superbridger gives it a ready-made upload command for each file. In Codex's default sandbox that command needs network access, so you approve it when Codex asks. Then the file is checked for every platform.
Is it the same as ChatGPT?
No, Codex has its own setup: add Superbridger once and it's in the Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app. ChatGPT on the web adds Superbridger as a plugin instead.
Can Codex post to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X?
Yes, through Superbridger. Connect Superbridger to Codex, and it can publish or schedule a post to the accounts you connected in Superbridger: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X. TikTok posts arrive as a draft in the TikTok inbox, to finish there.
Will Codex post without asking me?
Whether Codex asks before it uses a tool depends on its approval mode. To OK every post, ask it to show you the post before it publishes, or connect it read-only: untick posting on Superbridger's Allow screen. Superbridger checks every post for each platform first.
Is the MCP server free?
It's included in every Superbridger plan and in the free trial, at no extra cost. Posts made from an AI app count toward the plan's monthly posts and X credits, the same as posts made on the website.
