Free plans look cheapest until you count. Most of them count one video to six accounts as six posts, and leave out TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn or X. Here's what 30 videos a month on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn and X cost in six tools.

Why do free plans run out so fast?
Most count every account a video goes to as a post, so one video to six accounts uses six.
- Metricool: on the free plan a post "counts once for each social network" it's published on. Its 20 posts a month are 5 videos to 4 networks.
- Postoria: posts are counted per destination: one post to 6 accounts counts as 6. Its free 50 a month are 8 videos to six accounts.
- Buffer and Publer: their free plans allow 10 scheduled posts at a time per account, on 3 accounts.
- Superbridger: one upload counts as one post, however many accounts it goes to. Starter's 60 posts are 60 videos, each to all six.
Can you do it for free?
Not on all six platforms with 30 videos a month: every free plan leaves out accounts or platforms, or runs out after a few videos.

What else should you compare?
Whether each platform gets the post by itself, what YouTube takes, whether X costs extra, and what happens when a post would fail.
- TikTok: does the tool post by itself, or send a reminder or a draft to finish in the app? Ask before you pay.
- YouTube: Buffer posts Shorts only; Shorts and long videos need a tool that takes both.
- X: included (Buffer, Publer's paid plans, Post Bridge), an add-on per account (Metricool), credits you buy (Postoria), or credits included in the plan (Superbridger).
- Checks and failures: is your video checked against every platform's rules before it goes out, and do you hear about it when a post fails?
