Tips
- Tip 1For Instagram's feed, 4:5 portrait (1080 × 1350) takes the most room on a phone.
- Tip 2Keep text and faces away from the edges of covers and banners: phones and computers crop them differently.
- Tip 3Use PNG for text and logos, JPG for photos.

FAQ
Questions
What size should an Instagram post be?
1080 × 1350 pixels (4:5) takes the most room in the feed. Square is 1080 × 1080, landscape 1080 × 566 (1.91:1).
Can I post a 3:4 image to Instagram?
In Instagram's app, yes (1080 × 1440). Instagram's app takes 3:4, but apps posting through Instagram's API (Superbridger too) can only send 4:5 to 1.91:1, so a 3:4 image is cropped to 4:5 there.
What size is an Instagram Story?
1080 × 1920 pixels (9:16).
What size is an Instagram profile picture?
Upload at least 320 × 320; Instagram shows it as a circle.
Is my image uploaded?
No. It's resized in your browser and saved straight to your device.
What happens to the parts that don't fit?
They're cropped. Drag the image to choose which part stays, and zoom in if you like. Or choose Fit to keep the whole image on a background colour.
